Corrugated compensator: also called expansion joint, expansion joint, mainly to ensure the safe operation of pipelines.
Working principle of corrugated compensator:
The main elastic element of corrugated compensator is stainless steel bellows, which relies on the expansion, contraction and bending of bellows to compensate the pipeline axially, transversely and angularly. Its functions can be:
. Compensate and absorb the axial, transverse and angular thermal deformation of the pipeline.
.Absorb equipment vibration and reduce the impact of equipment vibration on pipelines.
.Absorb the deformation of pipelines caused by earthquakes and ground subsidence.
Metal bellows compensator consists of multiple links including design, manufacturing, installation and operation management. Therefore reliability should also be considered from several aspects. When selecting the material used in corrugated pipes in heating pipe networks, in addition to its working efficiency, its medium, working temperature and external environment should also be considered. We must also take into account stress corrosion, water treatment agents, and the possibility of cleaning the pipes. The properties influence the material, and on this basis, with bellows materials, welding, forming, material cost and performance, the economic and practical production optimization of bellows materials is pointed out.
Under normal circumstances, the material used for bellows should meet the following conditions:
() High elastic limit, tensile strength and fatigue strength to ensure the operation of the bellows.
() Good plasticity to facilitate bellows forming processing, and through subsequent processing (work hardening, heat treatment, etc.) to obtain sufficient hardness and strength.
() Good corrosion resistance to meet the requirements of bellows working in different environments.
() Good welding performance to meet the welding process requirements during the production of bellows. For trench laying heat pipe network, when the bellows compensator is soaked in low-lying pipes, rain or accidental sewage, more corrosion-resistant materials such as iron should be considered, nickel alloys, high-nickel alloys, etc. should be selected. Since the price of this material has increased for bellows manufacturing, we can consider adding an additional corrosion layer to the surface of the wear-resistant alloy only in contact with corrosive media. By analyzing the type of fatigue life of bellows and the causes of failure, the compensation design can be seen that the stability of the aircraft bellows, the stability and corrosion of the two pairs of displacements are related to the anti-fatigue life.
